Acho Dene Native Crafts Birch Bark Basket Scrape Design Berry Basket Signed by Agnes Berreault
These baskets have a small opening at the top, and widen at the bottom. They have lids with porcupine quill designs as well as side hand quilled designs.
Traditionally used by the Dene people to collect berries, these unique one of a kind baskets are now sought after art pieces. All pieces are signed by their skilled artist.
These beautiful baskets are crafted in Fort Laird, Northwest Territories. Traditional baskets from the region were used for storing food and supplies...this one is a berry basket.
They can also be displayed as an original work of art. Crafted of birchbark, willow strips, spruce root strips and porcupine quills, it measures 6.5" wide and 7.5" high. By Dene artist Agnes Berreault.
Still has tags attached. Included with the basket is postcards and brochures.
