thelouisgasm Chanel Serial Cards: The “card system” was introduced the same time as the serial sticker. There should be absolutely no rainbow “hologram” type effect. The card is plastic & feels just like a credit card. If a bag doesn’t come with a card, please don’t dismiss it straight away, but do look out for other signs of authenticity. The previous owner could have genuinely lost it.

thelouisgasm Serial stickers: introduced in 1984 and continue to be used today. The numbers on serial stickers should match numbers on the authenticity card. Bags made before this time, don’t have stickers. - 6 digit codes-bag was made some time between 1984 and 1986. - 7 digit codes-handbag was made between 1986 and 2004. - 8 digit codes have been used since 2005 until TODAY. Anything over 8 digits is not authentic.

A bag with a R (Registered Trademark) on the metal CC is definitely a fake! Chanel bags (starting in the mid 1980s) will have a Registered Trademark (R in a circle) on the inside next to the word Chanel.

This bag was made in Italy in 1996 and never carried more than a handful of times. It was stored in a climate controlled giant walk-in closet next to a Birkin and lots of LV/Chanel. I hope that helps.

thelouisgasm @amaddens8 you're in SC. I have seen them turn around the authentication the same day w/ immediate redirection. The likely wild card is USPS. That being said, in the event that there is any delay, perhaps you can give her a print out of the bag indicating it is going thru the authentication phase so that you can insure the bag and have all the paperwork necessary? I insure all of my bags with a replacement value of 5k +. This bag definitely falls in that category. Just a thought..

magmile Hi. I purchased a Jo Malone Reed diffuser from you a little while back. I’d like to confirm that it was originally purchased from Jo Malone? I’ve opened it and the liquid is a different color and viscosity thank the one I bought at Nordstrom earlier this year (same scent). There are also slight differences in the glass bottle and packaging. The scent is also very slightly different. I’d very much appreciate any information you could share on where you purchased it. thelouisgasm @magmile Hi Leslie: Which one did you purchase. I am fairly certain they came from across the pond. We bought them from a liquidation, going-out-of business sale. Is it possible that it was older? I'm unsure if the oils are effected by age. In terms of the packaging, I cannot speak to that. Is it defective in any way? During Covid a number of retailers went out of business and they were legit companies. I really want to help. I know that I kept a few different scents for my home and love
