But yes, between rod in my neck and now with tge rod out and muscle structure change, plus narrow nasal passages, def has impact with pillows.. I have shopped around for the best pillow, esp since last surgery.. Might have found a temp fix..

The rod comes down to my lower lunbar, so I can still wiggle my hips, luckily, cause I am a former dancer, but the area near hips bc of the lordosis and booty does not allow me to touch flat. I will def look into the machine, and yes! Into tge night 8pm ish, not overnights. 💗

jillianka @palmtree30 Yes.. I was always envious of joggers, but between mouth breathing and brain pressure, not really allowed.. Lol. I can sprint, but er, that's it. I dance wgen I can, and was takung zumba and barre classes until surgery. Slow but sure. Yes. You totally get long hours and medical issues. Thanks for the compliment. What kind of counselor? Will you be able to go back to work? Hope you get the med expertise you need

jillianka @palmtree30 I am so sorry to hear you are having more complications. I really hope this neurosurgeon works out for you. It sounds like you need treatment and care immediately. Please be careful. I was hoping my Dr would be the one.. Lol. Have you called his office to see if he added your insurance? He is fabulous. Definitely keep him as a reference just in case.

Luckily, and has made me a very feisty and full of life. I am a therapist and believe in standing up for those who need a louder voice. abailin @jillianka of course! Sounds like the whole thing had some positives in the end, especially for your clients - I'm sure they really appreciate your outlook on life and feistiness. Therapy is some of if not the most important work one can do, I was going to be a psychiatrist but the field is all about medication pushing now.. should've done social work or PSYD for that. I'm going into pediatric Neurology, which is now a huge passion of mine (and closely tied psychiatry of course!)

No worries I completely understand that - no interest in my YES sequin hoodie I assume? I have actually been having some neurological changes and now that the rod in my chiari is gone(fusion), I am actually getting brain and chiari scan for my appt in a week and a half. His first time seeing me since assistance in my emergency surgery 2 yrs ago.

jillianka @palmtree30 Not sure how I missed your comments. Any updates on whats going on with you? I went, but he can't find anything to be causing new stuff, so he wants me to follow up with other drs and potentially an EMG. 1 of my drs left unexpectedly and not very happy about it. But at the end of Oct, I was robbed/assaulted and had to get staples in my head (right in my complex, w/ a security guard near) and got lucky with where my head was injured. Other side, I would have needed a skin graft. 🙏

jillianka @palmtree30 Thank you.. Working on getting through it. A rough feeling. As far as my dr leaving.. I'm not thrilled.. He's been my dr for 23 yrs, but I was told by my Neurosurgeon, the one who told me, that I can see other guy. I will probably call my Dr.. He left for FL. Ugh

It's my orthopedic surgeon that was down, and it was because he accepted a position in Miami for pediatric ortho surg. The director of so I'm not sure if he has a practice

jillianka @palmtree30 Yup.. I do.. The rod in the neck fixed the chiari malformation, syringylomelia/syringyobulbia, and cyst, but rod is in upper back to my L2.. All titanium. My Neurosurgeon is the same who also put it in.. and now I have an orthopedic plastic surgeon for when the ride had to be taken out.
