Abalone Bird on Turquoise Block Heishi & Blue Lapis Heishi Bead Necklace Set

Beautiful artisan carved abalone shell strung on graduated block genuine turquoise heishi beads with a strong magnetic claps. Bird is blues and greens on one side and has a unique peach pattern on the other and can be worn either way. Sold as a set with blue lapis block heishi beaded adjustable length necklace. Heishi are man- or mechanically- made beads (or Heishe) that originate from Pueblo people of New Mexico and are made from the ground materials found on the floor being collected and remade into these beads. They are much lighter than stone beads. Made from vintage beads but new claps, check out the photos as they are the best indications of condition.
