Fakes come with fake tags/receipts or sellers buying authentic and using real receipts/boxes to sell fake. REPORT them: selling fakes is FRAUD & a crime. Look carefully at the LEGS on the Rs, which are more of a squiggle (backwards s) than a curve/curl. Font should not be chunky/sloppy. Haymarket/signature check is 3x3 squares. I’m a top 10% Posh Ambassador & all they have is a profile full of people apologizing for the returns they’ve accepted. catmlrse Hi @michi1015! Brite’s tag pic is fuzzy but it looks authentic from afar. A clearer pic would confirm. The tag on Christine’s scarf looks totally fake. Of the two I’d be more inclined to say the first is real, pending clearer pic.

lericksonms @catmirse. Yeah, I'm getting ready to call it out. The thing that catches my eye isn't the label, it's the pattern. Even if the plaid is "exploded" it should be a 3 X 3 not a 2 X 2. I share your concern about authenticity. I've called out two fake Burberry coats that have since disappeared, and a Tiffany item that is still posted. It's more expensive than the item that is currently listed on Tiffany's website---NEW!

lericksonms @catmlrse That is so low!! I probably have some fake "berry's. I look at the spacing of the label letters. Is it attached in a way that looks "Burberry", good thread, placed parallel to the warp or weft, quality of material, etc. I look at the nature of the plaid if the piece uses it, evenness of stitching, etc. I'd like to learn your clues, but my eye is not as discerning as yours.

Seller's were crude, obvious fakes. I clued the purchaser. Theft and fraud should have no place here. Caveat emptor/buyer beware.

catmlrse @jaimi_stickel I have doubts about both their authenticity. More importantly they’re asking way too much for the older style/smaller check. You can buy these for $50-$60 max. Choose cashmere over lambswool, which tends to be scratchy.

livstiles Is there anyone here who could help me out?! I have a Burberry Berkeley bag for sale, but a buyer who is wanting confirmation that it is authentic. catmlrse @infiniteraisins The label on the scarf you bought isn’t stitched on the right way - stitches too far into the label instead of right along the edge. The logo looks off as well.

catmlrse @mommymontague The one in plastic doesn’t look authentic. The other camel one looks suspicious - like the pics aren’t of the the same scarf. There’s no logo tag in the first pic which is strange. Then the pic showing the Burberry logo looks like it’s from a different listing. Ask for another pic of the logo tag.
