fionax1 @garfieldamy yes the teal one has 3 straps on it. Different sizes because I have thin narrow feet so sometimes for heels I need a smaller size. Also some brands run small and others are true to size. Sometimes the also stretch out after some use but usually my size is from 8 to 9.

fionax1 @loubchoogirl honestly girl, 80/90% if the time these sellers KNOW the junk they’re selling is fake. The sad part is how many people spend a good deal of money on the fakes. I’ve sold authentic CL shoes in the past for around $300ish and I see fakes selling for $400-450. It blows my mind. 🤷🏻‍♀️

fionax1 @cspencer1973 Hi! Thanks so much. To be honest, out of the entire rock stud collection I have the least experience with the jelly flats. However, I can still kinda can guess the authenticity based on the following : 1) color (google images and familiarize yourself with the shades and colors available. For example, I’ve noticed the fake nude color flip flops are lighter than the real nudes. 2) the lettering and print on fakes is off. Often times the letters are croooked or too faded.

fionax1 @cspencer1973 hi there! If you have the replacement stud and the backing (it’s a two piece replacement unit) then it’s super simple. You can take it to your local cobbler and they’ll replace it for a minimal charge. If the back part of the stud is missing then you have to go to the Valentino store and they can replace the back and also put the stud back on for you. There should not be a charge for this service. I’ve heard it’s usually free but haven’t had to go through this myself. Yet.

fionax1 @toorhfairy03 hi. Thanks! Based on my experience I would surely recommend buying preloved. Most shoes are barely used and you’ll save quite a bit of money. Having said that, I wouldn’t trust anything sold under $500 on posh as over that amount will be authenticated by their team. If you purchase for lower, you’d really have to be educated in the brand and signs of counterfeit products.

fionax1 @shooshoo78 oh they’ve def been worn. But only have light wear so I think the seller is being a bit deceptive and trying to pass them off as unused. I do agree that the price is a bit high. If you take a look in my closet I’ve sold a pair of brown flats that were brand new and obviously unused for $650 and another teal colored pair of heels for $550 (also brand new). Even with the light usage the seller should come down on the price.

Also, since you’re more of a seasoned vet, have you had any of your studs rust/tarnish since getting them? That’s about the only other thing I’m worried about besides normal wear & tear. Any advice on how to prevent it from happening?

fionax1 @xtini3e I have noticed some of mine tarnish but it’s not permanent. I took some tooth paste and baking soda on a soft brush and scrubbed off the studs and they were back to their former shiny glory. I haven’t found a way to prevent it though. I just end up cleaning and restoring them when it does happen. Hope that helps.
