@jenniferebass : Because this is a vintage item, there is no product code on it, as is the instance with all of LV’s vintage pieces. In addition, LV’s fashion jewelry and accessories, including their barrettes, do not carry any date code.

@jenniferebass : Only their bags, shawls, etc. do, mostly because of the lack of space to emboss the same. What the newer collections may sometimes offer however is solely a product code, e.g. M1578, just as a random example. This is a vintage piece and, back then, LV didn’t even have date codes, the “Saks 5th” and pre Saks 5th Ave😊. @jenniferebass : As with all vintage pieces by LV, this hair barrette is very substantial (and feels accordingly substantial in hand and, when worn) in material. It is made of solid brass, with a heavy golden coat. I purchased it years ago, it is discontinued, a true collector’s item that I could sell for more, though I rather sell it at a reasonable price for it to find a good home.

@jenniferebass : To reiterate further, the reason why you cannot find this hair barrette anywhere else, is because it is an exceptionally rare vintage piece, often from the Saks 5th or pre era when date codes were not introduced yet and, the quality of LV items were by far superior, compared to today’s mass production of LV pieces. This hair barrette is a true and unique collector’s item with the gold not having worn off, but still being prominent and shiny, as also seen in the photos displayed.

@kaleamcelligott : If you paid on Poshmark, then you are fine and protected. You should be receiving your refund in a few days in your bank account ☺️. You did right by not engaging with her outside of Poshmark! My guess is you purchased her laptop for price she had listed it for. Then then cancelled the transaction because she doesn’t have any Apple products and the liar / scammer that she is and then, urged you to send her money outside of Poshmark to scam you.

@kaleamcelligott : I noticed that Posh allegedly, as part of their user agreement, does not furnish protection for electronic / technological products. However, because your transaction was canceled, this might constitute a different scenario with you being able to receive your refund.

@kaleamcelligott : That said, in the worst case scenario, because you paid via a bank Visa, MC, Amex or any other debit or credit card, you should be able to dispute any amount you wish to have refunded, with the help of your bank. Banks most often cover debit card transaction disputes.

She took my money and never sent me the product. She then blocked me. There are presently several scammers on Posh. IF you liked one of their listings like many do and, like I did, look in your likes, find, report and block them and also alert others if you can and like. Thank you so much!

I am trying to raise awareness to prevent other Poshers from getting scammed.
