This full coverage bra was dyed using Sappanwood (also known as Brazilwood). Unlike my other ARQ dye project pieces, this was a pre-owned bra, in the toffee color, that I planned to keep for myself. However, I don’t like the way the full coverage fits me, and would have preferred a wide-strap, so I’d like to find it a new home 😊 I’m dying them by hand, using natural plant dyes. The process involves a lot of soaking, simmering, stirring, and rinsing, and in some cases, this caused the ARQ logo to wear off. Natural dyes are usually not as colorfast or lightfast as chemical dyes. As with any ARQ pieces, wash by hand or in cold water on the delicate cycle and line dry. Do not line dry under direct sun.
