AROUND THE WORLD PROGRAM boxed set of 5 vintage paperback books, published by Doubleday in the late 1950s and early 1960s in conjunction with the American Geographical Society. The books cover the following countries: Ecuador; Hungary, Bulgaria & Rumania (Romania); Ceylon (now known as Sri Lanka); Holland; and Japan. Topics such as history, geography (including maps), culture, and cuisine are covered. A removable insert of photographs is included in the front cover of each book. NOTE: The books themselves are in very good vintage condition, but the storage box is pretty dinged up and the spine is pulling away from the front cover.
