Using state of the art construction techniques, newly develop compounds, and space-aged materials we have once again shown what is possible in performance footwear. The Concept X introduces a new version of the spring-based technology that first propelled athletes higher and was banned by the NBA; Load ‘N Launch Carbon 10. For the first time ever, APL has used a full-length carbon fiber plate that acts as a springboard to efficiently transfer energy with every step. Beneath the carbon plate sits a larger device with 10, larger coil springs strategically positioned throughout the forefoot. Each piece is tuned to work in conjunction with one another to provide ultimate energy return and enhanced elevation. A newly developed APL FutureFoam midsole that is lighter and provides more rebound encases the device to offer a soft and responsive cushioning to help you land softly. The outsole features a high traction clear rubber compound that puts the entire Load ‘N Launch Carbon 10 device on display. To further reduce weight, the heel area of the outsole is carved out exposing the carbon fiber plate.
