ANTIQUE SILVER MIRROR, BRUSH, WEBSTER CO. ART NOUVEAU STERLING

Beautiful antique sterling silver mirror and brush set made by the Webster Company in North Attleboro Massachusetts. They belonged to my maternal grandmother who was born in 1885 in Montreal Quebec. Her mother was born in 1862, also in Montreal. I don't know if the vanity set belonged to my great-grandmother originally or not. My grandmother, Alice, gave the set to me 1964. It is Sterling repousse in the Art Nouveau style. The Webster Company who was known for its craftsmanship in baby goods and dresser-ware was founded in 1869 and was purchased by Reed & Barton in 1950. The lovely hand mirror is 10” long and 6” at the widest point. There is some discoloration on the face. The hairbrush is 9” long and about 3 1/2” wide. I believe the bristles are horsehair. Some, but not all of the pieces include the Webster hallmark, some do not. The silver is in great antique condition with some minor dings and spots, not unexpected after over 100 years. It is a wonderful, romantic pattern that features a beautiful long-haired Victorian woman. A fabulous gift for Valentine Day, weddings, or birthdays. I am listing other items from the set separately. I have included a pic of Alice when she was young, also in the 50's, still a fashion maven!
