ALBERT NIPON Vintage Black Lace, Sequin, & Taffeta Strapless Evening Dress 2-4

"Albert Nipon" was one of the most popular designer labels of the 1970s-1980s era. This captivating 1980s evening dress from Albert Nipon features a densely ruched black silk taffeta bodice with a giant bow on the side of the dress. The neckline and skirt are black lace with hints of lurex and lots of sequins, so you will subtly sparkle as you glide through the ballroom. Below the lace is a layer of sheer, shimmering fabric that is lightly stiffened, but much softer than organza. Below that layer is the black lining that appears to be synthetic, perhaps acetate. There is flexible boning all around the bodice, and a size zipper for closure. This dress is probably from the 1980s (I actually knew Albert Nipon and his wife, Pearl, professionally), so it has no fabric or size labels. Based on the measurements, our sizing charts indicate it is a size 2-4. Please refer to the measurements for the best guidance regarding actual size. MEASUREMENTS - Chest is 33" - Waist is 26" - Hips are free. - Length is 38.5" from underarm to bottom of skirt. CONDITION Excellent condition without any notable flaws.
