A Jolly Christmas at the Patterprints by VERA NYCE, 1971 First Edition. Book is in Fair condition without dust jacket, minor edge wear. Binding tight. Actually written and illustrated in the 1920s, this charming tale was discovered and printed by Parents' Magazine Press in 1971.
The mother/daughter team of Vera and Helene Nyce were best known for their "Flossie Fishers Funnies" which ran in the Ladies' Home Journal prior to 1915. This turned into the Flossie Fisher Club for Children, known worldwide. Helene Nyce became well-known for her magazine art and advertising.
The book gives children and adults alike a look into the writing and illustration done for children a hundred years ago in America.
