Unique piece of armed forces history, this black glass scallop bowl, is 8 inches in diameter. The bowl is black with scalloped edges and gold ink edging. The center of the bowl has the Air Force Museum insignia of earth with a rocket above it and the original Wright brothers first plane above that. Delightfully, around the perimeter of the bowl are eight different planes/rockets that have been part of the Air Force history: The Wright flyer, SPAD, P-6E, B – 24, B – 17, P – 39, P – 51 and the Atlas rocket. There are no chips or cracks, observed. The gold ink appears rubbed in a few places, but everything is very easy to identify and read.
