Sterling silver Nunnery fork in the Alexander Ritchie design by A.H Darby & Son of Birmingham, England. No monogram Alexander Ritchie designed this fork based on items found in a 12th Century Nunnery on the island of Iona. Upon his death in 1941, A.H Darby & Son obtained his molds. Measures approx 5 3/4" long, 5/8" wide across tines. Weighs approx 17.3g, 11.1dwt Marked AHD&S anchor (Birmingham city mark) lion (sterling silver) w (date mark for 1946) Very nice condition, with some light tarnish and slight surface scratches.
