ADORABLE 1940s' NAVY STRAW BERET WITH OFF-WHITE CORDED TRIM

This is a beautiful navy straw hat in the style of a modified beret from the 1940s' . The irregular, rounded shape of the hat is longer at the sides. There is an off-white "visor" under the hat, and at the top there is a large off-white cording bow, as seen in the photograph. The hat is to be worn so as to partially cover one eye, as was fashionable in that era. LABEL: NEW YORK CREATION/ size 22 + Store Label: M. M. The label is small, white and blue & most of the time it states the hat size…22 or 23, or ADJUSTABLE. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
