Baltic amber has many features that make it an investment material: it is valued, expensive, and its resources are depleting, which increases its price even more. In China, it is currently the most popular capital investment. And in Poland?
In Poland, as well as in Europe, amber is not perceived in investment categories at all. Why? Even investment advisors cannot answer this question – simply no one has ever been interested in it, not even experts in alternative investments such as wine or whisky. “Poles are too poor for such an investment, unlike the Chinese,” claims Krzysztof Lalik from Golden Amber, a company that also deals with trading amber raw materials with China.
