A pair of Japanese blue &white egg holders

A pair of Japanese blue and white porcelain egg cups. Very unique, after hours of research I was unable to find out much. They are in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. They appear to be hand painted. As you can see from the photos, on one side is an old vessel and the other side is what I think is the ships captain. They stand 4" tall.
