@jeneva25 Hello :) For the background, I go to the internet and type, for example, chevron pattern, I click on the one that I like and I screenshot a picture of it on my iphone. Then I use an app called phonto and I edit the picture. The app is free and it's pretty simple to use :) let me know if I can help with anything else.

@dat_chickkkkk Hello :) the only way to get likes is if people are interested in your items. However sharing your items throughout the day as well as in the parties helps a great deal. Also sharing other peoples items will help get your items because if you share their items they will share yours :) also when someone likes your item, people find it annoying if you ask them if they are interested. Also the more people who like your item, the more likely you are to get a sale. It also helps to follow as many people as you can so people will follow you back and more people will see your items :) Good luck on your sales and let me know if I can help with anything else :)

@girliegoodies Hello :) the key to gaining followers is to just follow people, not everyone will follow you back but just follow as many as you can and most will. It also helps to share your items throughout the day and especially share them during the 10:00 party. Also make sure to share other peoples items because they will share yours :) hope that helps!

Then, I would like to thank you for following my shop, I started following you as well, I'm sure you have notice that. Now, what I need your help with is the following. When I subscribed to PM, I honestly didn't see any information on how to get paid when I sell an item. I'm very concern about that. How do I add either a bank account information or my Pay-Pal Information? I'd rather my Pay Pal account since is the one I use the most. I will really appreciate if you can help me with this. To gain followers all you have to do is follow people, just follow as many people as you can and people will follow you back :) also sharing your items throughout the day and during the 10:00 p.m party party helps as well as sharing other people items, because when you share their items, they will share yours so it's mutually beneficial. And I would like to help you with your worry about getting paid, you have no reason to worry :) getting paid on poshmark is very simple and easy. They offer two options, you can have your money directly deposited into your bank account or you can request a check be sent to you. These options can be found in your my balance section. So when I make a sale, I ship it out, I usually takes two to three days and you get an email with a tracking number in it so you can keep up with where it is. Once the item gets the package they have three days to accept or the money is automatically released into your account, though most people accept right away. Then I go to my balance, it will show you your earnings then click on redeem balance and there you will see your two options. Now it's been awhile since I set up my bank account but the way I did it was by making my first purchase, when I clicked on buy now it was then that it requested my cars information and you can put in whatever card information that you have. I'm really unsure of any other way to set up your card information because my nana set up her card information the same way a few days ago. Maybe it will work the same way if you make a sale, I am unsure but I do know that you can send poshmark support an email and they will answer you within 24 hours. I hope that helps and let me know if you have anymore questions, or if I didn't answer anything sufficiently, I would be glad to try explaining it another way. But, I have one last, quick, and silly question, I just noticed that when I click on any of your items at the very bottom of the listings there is the Buy Now icon, what I want to know is, when you click on my items, does it show a Buy Now icon in my items? Because when I do it, it doesn't show. I'm so sorry to bother you with that question, but I just want to make sure that my items are available for sale. Thank you so much again for your kind help.

@jewelrychoice you're not bothering me at all :) Yes I see a buy now option on all of your listings, the only time the buy now option goes away is if you lost anything 2$ and below then it's automatically marked as not for sale. And if you ever see reserve on your item that means someone is in the process of buying it. :)

A lot of people get frustrated waiting to make their first sale, but don't get discouraged because once you do it's really fun :) there are ways of improving your chances of making sales, follow as many people as you can, share as many items of others as you can, share your own listings throughout the day and during the 10:00 pm party and be open to negotiating. It took me about two months to make my first sale :) let me know if I can help further.

@slb03 Hey :) In order to get all of your sold/unavailable items to the bottom you have to share them all and then share your available listings after that. So everytime you want a sold item on the bottom you have to share it first and then share all your available listings so the unavailable ones will be at the bottom. And there is no other way of editing your listings without editing them and re-listing them. And it's the same with parties. What I do during parties is I start with my last available listing and I share up so that my listings remain in the same order. I hope that helps :)

Hi. Thanks for being such a great mentor. I'm new. I read all of your tips here and I have a question...or a frustration, really. You mentioned following as many people as you can and sharing. What about all those people who are selling prohibited items? I'm so sick of seeing men's stuff, kids stuff, used makeup, used perfume, used bathing suits, etc. it seems like over half of who I follow has prohibited items. Is following and sharing them condoning their abuse? Do Poshers report other sellers for this on a regular basis? (Posh Police!). Are we supposed to report them? I am so annoyed at seeing this junk! But, I don't want to be a snot and report if it isn't generally done. Thanks.😊

@elkinator Hello :) I agree, it does get frustrating. I do know that there are people who report unsupported items, I personally do not, I just do not share peoples unsupported items. But I think that if you want to report unsupported items, you clearly have the right to do that and you should if that's what you want to do. I think it's a personal decision wether you report items or not and I also feel that anyone who does shouldn't feel bad or guilty about it because you're following the rules and you just want others to. Poshmark doesn't tell who reported them because when I first joined I didn't know you couldn't sell hair extensions because I saw them every where but someone reported me and it didn't tell me who, they just sent me a list of what I could or couldn't sell and I've followed it ever since. I hope that helps :)

@mandakat13 Hello :) A host pick is an item that is selected by a host (Someone who is hosting a party) as an item that fits their theme. So if the party is called simply shoes, the person hosting the parties will go through people closets and put items that they think are well priced, in great condition and cute in the Host Pick part of the party. It's like an advertisement sort of, it means you're item is getting hand picked to be shown in a party. You can only get a host pick if you follow Posh rules :) I hope that helps

@margosmiles4u Hello :) when you list your items there will be a buy button on the right hand side of the picture for buyers, they will simply click on that and purchase your item. Then you will go to your email and print out the shipping label that Poshmark sends to you, you'll package up your item, put the shipping label on it and put it in the mail. Then you'll need to go to your sales and mark it as shipped. In 2-4 days when the buyer receives the item they will usually accept right away however a buyer is given three days to make sure the item is as described and if they don't release the payment, Poshmark will auto release it for you. Then you will go to my balance, you have three options, you can use the money to spend on poshmark, you can request a check or you can have it directly put into your checking account.

@mlpoul Hello :) I have found that the more people I follow, I make more sales. I also share my feed throughout the day and I share, share, share others listings in the 10:00 pm party, you know how it is, someone follows or shares your items so you take a peek through their closet and also negotiating on items helps. Having clear photos helps and having someone model them or put them on a mannequin, I've also found that with long dresses if I can't get the whole dress in the picture, taking a close up of the top helps because the first picture is what draws people in and gets their attention. @unique69 Hello, a host pick is chosen by the person or persons who are hosting a party. They look through peoples closets and find items that fit with the theme of their party and place theme in a show room in the party but they will only give you a host pick if you follow all of poshmarks rules

@tissue Hello :) bundling is easy, you'll simply come together on a price on all the items the buyer is interested in and put the price on one of the items so the buyer can purchase then you would ship them together so the buyer can save on shipping and you'll either mark the other bundled items as sold or delete them.

For example, I had one woman ask me a ton of questions which I happily answered, lowered prices and made her a special bundle by her request. She completely flaked and never followed-through without an explanation. I'm a marketing professional outside of poshmark, and the rudeness and lack of communication sometimes kills me! How do you deal with this?

@jessbiondo Hello! I'm sorry that happened to you. It can be frustrating but I just turn the other cheek. I know sometimes people may not have the money like they thought they did and could just be embarrassed to say so after all that work or something may have come up and by the time they got back to the app they feel too much time had passed and it would be awkward. But I just let it go and move on to helping the next person or customer. When you come across really rude people who are actually saying rude things I recommend just going to their closet and blocking them, then it will show others that you are the more mature person.

I'm sorry to say but people don't generally buy from your closet because you buy from theirs and there's a lot of factors in that, their style could be different, they may not have the money to spend, you could be different sizes. What the poshmark community considers supportive is when someone follows you, follow them back and when someone shares your items, you share theirs back. Now there are several ways you can improve your sales on your own. It really helps to have someone or a mannequin model them, if you can't do that then make sure you take very clear photos and close ups on any detail that will draw the eye. Also follow, follow, follow. Follow as many people as you can and share others items as well as often as you can. Also make sure to share your items in the parties, that helps too. Be willing to negotiate prices as well and always treat people with respect even the rude people.

Hey there! I just had a really quick question about Host Picks. It's to my understanding that in order to receive a Host Pick, you have to "follow Posh rules". I sort of understand, but... what exactly do they mean by that?
Also, when someone receives a Host Pick on an item, it appears that many of them edit the cover photos on the item to say "Host Pick". I thought once you posted an item, you couldn't edit the cover photo... How does that work, exactly?

Oh, and one more thing: how exactly does one get an item listed in a Posh Party? Does the item list automatically once you join the party (if it fits the party parameters, of course), or do you have to physically go and edit it and list it yourself? I never see any of my stuff in the feeds at parties, so I never know!

@jnp2 Hello! Yes, you are correct. In order to receive a host pick you have to follow poshmark rules, that means you can not sell any items that are not fashion items, do not sell makeup, do not sell any lingerie bathing suits it undergarments that do not have tags, do not sell perfume, do not sell men or children's clothing. In order to get your items into a party you will have to share your items but instead of clicking share to your feed select the option that says share to party. You can edit your cover photo even if you have already posted an item simply edit the listing and click on the first photo and you can upload a new one.

@kayyymccaff Hello! Poshmark will send you the prepaid shipping label to your email, all you have to do is print it out and tape it to the package. Do you have your card information linked to your account? That is how you will receive your money, once you ship the item and the buyer receives the package they have three days to accept or poshmark will automatically release the money but most people will accept as soon as they are home and look at the package. You can have it directly dip payed to your bank account or if you don't want that you can request a check.

If you click on the far right button that has your name, tap it then scroll down to my sales and tap it then go to the first sale and tap it and it should have an option to cancel and then do the same for the next sale and it will take between 1-3 business days for them to get their money back but they will.

Have very bad experience with a purchase but the site freezed & crashed every time I tried to reject. Item very misrepresented & she got my money anyway. @naa102399 Poshmark has a guarantee policy. When you buy an item, you have three hours to cancel the order. After that the seller has seven days to ship. Once the item has been shipped and you have received it you have three days to accept the item. What this means is that it is your responsibility to overlook the item and make sure it is up to par with what you paid for it before you accept the item. If you do not accept the item or let poshmark know there was a problem with the item within three days then they will automatically release the money. Now if you have received your package recently within the time frame, go to your account, find your my purchases, click in the item in question and then hit the problems button and you can file a claim that says you were sent an item that is not what was described and they make ask you to take pictures. You will email them the pictures and they will make a judgement based on your photos and the descriptions and comments. If they decide in your favor you must ship the item back and once the item is returned you will receive your money back. If you have had this package more than three days I would recommend that you go to this item and send them an email telling them that you have tried to contact them, you were sent an item that was not as described and see what they will do. I'm not sure what they will do but it is always best to try, I would encourage you not to leave rude comments on the sellers page but instead leave her negative feedback in her post if she has one in a polite as possible manner and give her a low star rating. @steinberg1525 All that is against the rules, no makeup no perfume, no household items. All you're supposed to sell are women's gently used clothing or new with tags items. No children clothing, no men's clothing. Make sure you let people know if there are flaws with the items because they will get to send it back and you will have to pay for return shipping unless of course you have the defect noted in the description and have a picture.

@barch17 Thanks for answering questions and encouraging new poshers! I saw above a question about checking out a seller's ratings. You probably figured this out by now (or maybe this is a recently available feature) but if you click on the photo of a seller once you are in their closet, you will get to see the ratings, love notes and average ship time. The biggest thing that I can say is to follow as many people as you can, not everyone will follow back of course but most people will and share as many items of others as you can because they will share yours but also make sure to share your items as well especially during the parties. Make sure your photos are clear and well described being sure to note anything wrong with any items and also be willing to work with someone on pricing. I hope that helps!

@barch17 Hi there! I am pretty new to poshmark. I read we're not supposed to use the priority mail flat rate boxes, however these are the ONLY free boxes my post office supplies! I've used them to ship a few orders because I didn't know what else to do and all of them arrived promptly with no problems or additional fees. So I guess I'm wondering what's the problem with using the flat rate boxes, if you know :) Thank you for taking the time to help!

I think it has something to do with the shipping labels but I have used all kinds of boxes and bags to ship items and they've always arrived and I've even had a few items shipped to me in a box someone made out of newspaper. So personally, I say use what works best for you until you run into an issue.

I just saw your post, I don't think poshmark does referrals but the best way to become a suggested user is to have great cover photos, being willing to help other people on the app who have questions, I would suggest creating a photo for feedback and offering to help new people or people with questions.

@kir0211 I have always found being as detailed as possible really works, not just checking google but also on pinterest as well, there are some pieces I have never been able to find a stock image of so the next best thing is to take clear, creative pictures. I hope that helps

@kir0211 This is of course is my personal opinion but I have always found quality over quantity is what’s most important, that doesn’t mean it has to be name brand, if you see something cute and in style, grab it. A selection is of course necessary but you don’t want items you bought just have a full closet sit there.
