@italianrn Hello there! 🌸 The dress does run on the smaller side. I found it is more true to an XL, so it could be about 2 inches looser on the waist if you typically wear a size L. The slight cinching defines the waist really well on its own; however, adding a belt would also look amazing while keeping the dress closer to your silhouette. ☺️ lmk if I can answer any more questions!
