Cat’s Meow Sloppy Joe’s Wooden Keepsake (1999)
A true Key West tradition! Sloppy Joe’s Bar first opened its doors on December 5, 1933—the day Prohibition was repealed. This legendary watering hole was a favorite of Ernest Hemingway and the very place where he met his third wife in 1936. Despite two name changes and a location move, Sloppy Joe’s remains an iconic landmark, welcoming millions of visitors over the years.
This beautifully handcrafted keepsake is made in the USA from sturdy ¾” thick wood. The vibrant design on the front features the bar’s famous sign, complete with its beloved black cat mascot, Casper.
The back includes a brief historical description. Measuring 6.25” x 3”, it’s perfect for displaying on a mantel, shelf, desk, or even perched atop a doorway or window molding. Pair it with other Cat’s Meow collectibles to build your own unique village!
Some slight wear due to age, as seen in photos, but still in great condition.
