bookcat_beth It's an Ethiopian Opal. Since I started studying gemstones two years ago, I've discovered several new types of Opals as well as many rare and exotic stones I'd never heard of before.

saris333 @bookcat_beth this is to small but I would be interested definitely if you get a stone like this on anything. Earrings, rings, necklaces. I have a stone that resembles this. I've been trying hard for years to figure out what it is. It's an antique ring that resembles peridot and many people have thought it was. I haven't figured out what it is yet and I'm afraid to let anyone examine it.

bookcat_beth @saris333 The stack rings listed next to it are the same stone. Sometimes the appearance of the stone is more a matter of lighting and camera angles. When I get a chance, I'll compare the stones in the three listings to see how close/different they are, as well as look out for additional items with stones with this look. Are you interested in pendants and earrings as well?

bookcat_beth @saris333 I added two pictures each on two of the ring listings, showing the rings together so you can compare the stones. I'll look through my inventory as I have time but there are hundreds of pieces waiting to be inventoried so it may take a few days. Let me know if you are interested in other jewelry pieces and I'll check my suppliers.
