Numerous sections are combined from smaller pieces which form them. This cuff is heavy with Sterling Silver. There are two hinges and clasp, creating another trio. The cuff is created from 2 types of turquoise (Santa Rosa turquoise and I do not know the other), red coral & lapis from Afghanistan. This was designed and crafted by Alea Mari & Co. in Scottsdale, Arizona. The cuff represents the sophistication and cultural influence of the Himalayan region of Kashmir. The exquisite silver work is traditional to the Kashmiri culture. Jewelry work by this family has been continuing for 12 decades, beginning in the foothills of the Himalayas and eventually making their way to the American Southwest.
