No tags 36” chest and 27.5” from nape of neck to hem This sweet light blue t-shirt features a portrait of Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy from the beloved science fiction television series Star Trek: The Original Series. Dr, McCoy was portrayed by DeForest Kelley. Kelley was originally approached by the series creator Gene Roddenberry with the prospect of playing Spock, but Kelley felt he was a better fit for McCoy. In the show, Dr. Bones is a the Georgia-born chief medical officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The character was known for his iconic catchphrases, "He's dead, Jim." and "I'm a doctor, not a..." in response to moments when he was asked to perform tasks outside of his medical expertise. Kelley was also known for his on-screen chemistry with his co-stars, which was a mark of his close friendship with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy.
