An unusual find in exquisite condition, the perfect gift for the Cigar smoker - Father's Day will come! 8"x6"x4" tall This marvelous item of MidCentury Art Pottery came from the Cromwell, Connecticut estate of Hal McIntyre (1924-1959): saxophonist, clarinetist, and Big Bandleader who was stolen from Benny Goodman by Glenn Miller - Hal became a founding member of the Glenn Miller Orchestra At Miller's encouragement. Hal founded his own band in 1941 touring ballrooms throughout the US and entertaining the troops overseas. You can find Hal's bio on Wikipedia. I've a family connection to this beautiful piece - Hal's great niece is married to my nephew.;)
