Mother of Thousands produces tiny plantlets with their own roots at the margins of its leaves. These drop off the leaves and anchor themselves into the soil. Species that can reproduce in this way are known as viviparous. You can cultivate this unique succulent outdoors. Otherwise, you can keep it indoors as a houseplant or even let it live outside for the summer and indoors for the winter.
