Vintage Courtine De Paris Chinese Figural Silk Brocade Evening Bag Muff Purse

This vintage Courtine De Paris Chinese figural silk brocade evening bag muff purse dates from the 1940s. It is made of a silver gray color silk damask weave brocade fabric with a woven Chinese figural picturesque garden design with shades of gold, green, orange pagoda temple shrines, people, dragon dance, trees and flowers. This Chinoiserie elegant evening bag purse has a muff style with gold silk satin lining in between the double sided two outer metal frame purse pockets with an amber topaz yellow rhinestone kiss clasp closures, to keep hands warm inside, a wide fabric looped strap for carrying over the arm, gold silk satin fabric lining and a "Courtine De Paris" label sewn inside. The purse measures 8 inches wide, 6 inches long from top to bottom. It is in good condition, with no damage to the exterior. The inside silk is a vibrant tawny orange. There's a small area of fading of the color on the interior of the purse near the bottom.
