Authentic Gucci Boston bag. This bag was purchased from an estate sale and was authenticated by an independent estate sale handbag specialist. This is noted because due to the age of the bag, the Gucci leather interior tag has peeled away. However the authenticator has verified the bag’s lineage. This is most likely a Boston tote style from the 1970’s based on the aging and the style of the leather details. This bag has been cleaned, sanitized, and deep conditioned. The canvas is in great shape for the true vintage age and does not have tears or worn spots. I have deep cleaned and conditioned the canvas and leather, and it also has no tears or marks. The bottom corner edges do have a little separation but overall it’s in very good form. The interior is true to period— pre 1980’s many of the bowling bags and totes had no lining. The interior has deep staining from pen marks but has been cleaned for hygiene. You can see where the original Gucci label peeled away over time. (This is why I requested verification). It also has a couple of wear spots near the leather on the wool stripe but everything is in extremely good condition.
