Antique Geisha Girl Porcelain Hand Painted Biscuit Jar with Lid circa 1920s. Geisha Ware porcelain is such a testament to the importance of geisha women in the Japanese culture.
This piece was created during the 1920s, the red "JAPAN" mark was the final assistance needed in putting an age/era on this piece. This jar depicts a beautiful scene of geisha girls, in their kimonos, at their okiya, surrounded by the beautiful landscape with floral masterpieces. The artist who hand painted this red trimmed with multi-colored floral piece paid attention to every detail.
Please look over all pictures to see the intricate details of the artists rendition of Japanese life. The bottom has a Japanese stamp, but no makers mark. This item is vintage/Antique & as such has seen many years of use. I do my best to point out flaws, chips, cracks & wear of an item.
Dimensions: 7” H X 6.5” W
