@jhooks1965 id say improper storage. Not sure if they could straighten out - maybe if PVC coating is heated? It would have to be done professionally

Creasing is not a big deal I think but it’s up to you whether you are ok with it or not. No odors that I can detect - maybe just used suede - it will go away with cleaning. Hence the price
