lilanastasia @jjlisle Have you ever been to the Steamship Arabia museum in Kansas City? They excavated an old steamship and restored the contents (which were headed for Omaha). They had canned pie fillings which were imported from France in long clear cylindrical bottles. So interesting! They told us those would have been a very expensive delicacy at that time.
