Vintage Ceramic Glazed Piggy Bank w/Cork Nose

Features a unique flower design on both sides. Felted feet. See in the last 2 pics what appears to be a 97, as in 1997 would be my assumption, along with MMP or MMD? Most likely the initials of the artist, but no known info.
