Gorgeous "The Tree of Life" Judaica Porcelain Collectors Plate This is a Gorgeous "The Tree of Life" Judaica Porcelain Collectors Plate. The plate has intricately painted depictions of Jewish symbolism and religious icons interwoven between the branches of a tree that is heavily rooted at the bottom of the plate and circles around on both sides up to an intricate drawn illustration of Jerusalem. There are 24K gold gilt accents woven throughout the entire design. The plate measures approximately 12" across and is in excellent vintage condition with no anomalies. The “Tree of Life” in Jewish texts comes from the biblical story of the Garden of Eden. It relates that God filled the garden with beautiful and tasty trees, and in the middle planted two in particular — the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil, the latter of which he forbade Adam an Eve to eat. In Revelation 22, the Tree of Life is seen in the New Jerusalem, bearing its twelve fruits each month, and its leaves are used “for the healing of the nations.”
