Good Tip! Over the Holidays it would be nice if Poshmark did $5.95 shipping; it would encourage sales. Almost $8 shipping is discouraging to a lot of would be buyers.

Hi, thank you for sharing this great tip. It was something I learned later that I wish I had learned sooner. During the lower viewer part of your Live Show journey is the best time to build meaningful relationships. These are the people who will be there whether you have 10 or 100 viewers. @tuohys Create a listing with “Giveaway” in the listing title and add it to your show.
Tap the Giveaway icon and select the duration to start. I believe it’s 1 min, 2 mins, 5 mins and 10 mins options.

During that time while the giveaway is running, you can tell your viewers more about your closet,etc. Remind viewers that they have to be present in order to have a chance to win. If they leave the show and come back they’ll have to reenter. It’s free shipping for them. If you want, encourage winner to bundle from your closet since winner gets free shipping 😊

@dolphinbay3, that would be a great idea, to lower shipping, the high shipping cost is hard for some shoppers if they are purchasing just a low price item. High shipping costs don't motivate people to bundle either.

@luckydream even though the buyer gets free shipping from the freebie, isn’t the shipping paid for by the seller? They give away an item and pay shipping out of pocket. That was how I understood it. I didn’t think Posh was paying the shipping for the free item. Please elaborate. I haven’t done it yet

@neatrepeats Yes, you’re right. The seller pays for the shipping out of pocket. The winner gets free shipping. The way I understood the perk was that since they’re getting free shipping it giving them an incentive to bundle and purchase items from your closet.

@neatrepeats I know when Posh first rolled this feature out, they gave sellers until 11/24 to try the giveaway feature and would reimburse the first time shipping cost. I don’t know if they’re going to do this again. Hope this helps. Perhaps, another Posher can also weigh in and correct me if I’m wrong. 😊🍀🛍

@dolphinbay3 When posh recently had its $1.99 shipping thanksgiving week I finally made sales through a live. I didn’t have much ppl at peek (7ppl) but 1 person bought 3 things because shipping was only $2. Having no one buy or only 3ppl in your show can be discouraging. Free shipping definitely help but it’s even better when it’s a Posh Promotion because sellers can give better deals & don’t have to worry about extra money coming out of their pocket to cover shipping discount. @poshshowshub

@aliciagreen472 Im the same way and I’ve been doing lives on and off for 2 years. I have to psych myself out, go pee like 3 times (just me?)🤣 and then when I turn the camera on I try not to look at myself and just pretend I’m talking to someone I know about clothes and keep it moving. Sometimes it works, sometimes I end really fast. I’m always proud of myself for trying though 🫶🏼
