Ok!! I remember this one well, as surprises were had all around. This was a show at the then Great Western Forum, and the opening act for Sabbath that night was supposed to be the Deftones and needless to say as we were in line to get into venue, the word was that the Deftones had canceled and that seems the usual for the Deftones and myself as I have attempted to see the Deftones 1 time before this date and a couple times after and they just never make it to the show. So, with them being out for the night, we began wondering who was gonna step up and open up for Sabbath. Well, just about that time, some guys come through the crowd handing out free demo cassettes (I still have mine somewhere), and so I put mine in my pocket and move into the venue and the opening act begins and there's a lot of screaming and rolling around on the floor by this lead singer and I'm saying "what the F#%&" this is crazy, but I kinda like it. So after the show, I look at this demo cassette and play it on the way home. I realize it's the same band that opened for Black Sabbath, and their name is System of a Down.
