I am not a giant corporate retailer who can afford to ship everything for free - so when you ask for a discount (and I assume that in most cases that discount is to cover the cost of shipping) - you are basically asking ME to pay for YOUR shipping costs. That can really cut into my already small profit, especially after the 20% sellers fee.
