They feature a combination of responsive cushion and soft, lightweight foam, and have a unique heel geometry for a smooth impact and gliding sensation. The Clifton Edge also has a good cushioning-to-weight ratio, thanks to a lightweight compression-molded EVA compound that provides plush cushioning while maintaining resilience and springiness. Both heels have tiny teeth marks from my friend's puppy who carried them around but you have to look closely to seem them and they don't affect performance at all. Otherwise, the tread is in perfect condition - lots of miles left on these shoes. I broke my foot and needed something with more cushion or I'd be keeping them. Very lightweight and the heel provides extra stability. Smoke free and pet free home (except friend's puppy :)).
