This work is an original, and painted in oil with a very high level of detail and skill, evocative of Turner, etc. The painting is in a fragile state as you can see with numerous tears and small parts of canvas falling off sides of frame. It may even be older than 1800s…That being said, it still looks quite striking displayed as is, or you can take on the task of cleaning/stabilizing it, as you prefer. Someone began to clean it, as you can see with the small sailboat in distance, and in signature area bottom left corner. Signature pretty hard to discern, but there is a chance this is by fairly prominent 19th century landscape painter Isaac Walter Jenner, but I cannot say for certain.
