vintage sterling silver Egyptian scarab bracelet. genuine scarab cabochons, which are beetle-shaped amulets with ancient hyroglyphics sealed onto each stone; gained their popularity in the early 1920s and remained popular late into the 1960s. this bracelet includes a blue chalcedony, a bloodstone, a carnelian and tigers eye cabochen, each with their own meaning. red represented the God, yellow, the sun and desert, blue, the Nile and green, growth. the stunning scarab bracelet is a symbol of protection, good luck and rebirth. used and revered in ancient Egypt. it was a sacred symbol of transformation. a beautiful way to remind ourselves of how we can overcome any obstacles in our paths. this particular piece was made and signed by W.E. Richards co. made during the 1940s during an art deco revival period. i see some of his jewelry selling for good money in the vintage market. most of his pieces were gold plated or gold filled. to find an all sterling piece, and to have it signed sterling and by this artist is very rare based on the research I did.
