Makes whirring noise when it’s turned on. I actually don’t know where the remote or cords are. You can buy a new remote and cords online for pretty inexpensive. The base is wood with glass. I just don’t use it anymore! Retails for almost $350. Giving you a huge discount because this might be a hassle but it’s really pretty when it’s in use! 😁😂
