Stunning example of a Japanese Satsuma belt buckle. Hand painted porcelain enamel with swallows and chrysanthiums. Makers mark on back. Unsigned. Some brass discoloration on back and a few faint scratches on hook from normal wear. Otherwise excellent condition for its age. Based on research, I believe it was made sometime between WW1 and WW2 but I am not an expert. Please feel free to research before purchase. Not certified.

jrbrotz @samanthanj7 HI! It's metal. I think brass. No flaws that I can see outside of the brass discoloration on the back and some minor scratches on the buckle hook which you have to tilt just right to see. What I would consider normal wear marks.
