British Knee High Lace Up Leather Boots Combat Style. 1990's Vintage. EUC. US 8 Label in footbed says "Raw Grit" I got these in England in 1997. I think they were hand cobbled. See photos. Details: round toe, broken in, well cared for. Single owner. This is high quality leather than found in shoes nowadays. Bends & breaks in. does not crack (keep up the care!!), thick & sturdy. Small dye batch leather, don't use sapphire brand shoe care on it.Broken in, but not worn that much. Heel made of wood measures 1.25 - 1.5 inches in height. no size inside, but it's equivalent of a US 8. length heel to toe, external measurement is 10".height of boot is 14"-15" . wraps calf higher in front. loop at back of calf for aid in pulling on. 28 lace holes in total, first 14 are holes, next 10 are steel loops.This lace up design is so you can have the lower half ready for your fit, & then just have to tighten up the top 10 loops. Quicker on & off than all hole laceing system. Thoughtful & smart design. The sole is part rubber & part leather. This boot is stitched together. it means you can replace the sole if you ever want too. Stitching makes(verses glued) for a better boot that moves & ages better. Well-crafted, high quality boot. They came with black laces, I replaced them with paracord. feel free to replace with laces of your choice.
