torrey78 I unfortunately gained a lot of weight, but I’m in an XL. Do you think this would work, a few pounds lower?

aviatortwin @torrey78 Hi Torrey, an XL is typically a 16/18, so it may be a bit small, however…because this is open in the front, the main areas that you may have trouble with would be the sleeve width and the shoulder. Do you know how to measure those two? Both are pretty easy, especially if you have something in your closet that fits you just right…is snug, but not tight. Let me go pull it now to gauge sizing again, and let me know if you need help measuring.

aviatortwin @torrey78 Ok, I actually just pulled it and I think you would be fine. The shoulder width is 17”, the standard for a Size 18 is 15”. The sleeve looks like you would have plenty of room, but it wouldn’t hurt to measure to be sure. I should be seeing my assistant either tomorrow or Monday, and she is an XL, I can have her try it on to be sure, but I’m pretty confident it would work for you.

torrey78 @aviatortwin the largest part of my arm is 15’ and shoulder to shoulder is approximately 20’. I’m sorry to be a pain. I just know that if it doesn’t fit, I never have time to return or re-sell 🤦🏼‍♀️

aviatortwin @torrey78 Hi Torrey, you definitely are not a pain, I know how hard it is to shop online, and I promise I will not push something on you just to get a sale. I’m very good at figuring out sizing, so if I don’t think it will work, I will let you know. The sleeve width would work, the sleeve measurement is taken on just one side, so the total width is 19”.

aviatortwin @torrey78 As for the shoulder, I measure the shoulder across the top of the shoulder where the seam is, from the corner seam of the clothing, like where the fabric meets at the top of the shoulder. Let me pull it again and measure the shoulder…I’m guessing you measured all the way across your shoulders? I still would prefer to put the floor model on my assistant who is an XL before telling you for sure;-)

aviatortwin @torrey78 Ok, I just Re measured the shoulder, the first time I measured it, I measured with the front closed, that is appx 18” with the front open, the shoulder measures at Appx 20”, give or take a little bit, as the fabric has some stretch to it. I would still feel better if we waited for my assistant to see how it fit before giving you a for sure answer. In the meantime, I’m going to adjust the size chart.

I work really hard to get my sizing exactly right, so you are helping me:) It’s hard enough shopping online, not knowing for sure if something will work for you makes it 1000x harder. Hopefully I’ll have a solid answer for you by tomorrow. I’m 95% sure it will work, but I want to be 100% sure.💞

aviatortwin @torrey78 Good Morning Torrey, good news, I’m pretty confident that it will work for you:) My assistant said she is closer to a 18/20 and it fit her comfortably, it wasn’t tight in the shoulders and she was able to tie it. torrey78 @aviatortwin I’m sorry I hadn’t ordered by now but I’m doing it now. I cave Covid and an ENT infection. So sorry and you don’t have to send a gift. This will already be a gift.
