1960's Robe

This Darling,Polka-Dot Robe from the 1960's comes with some wonderful trivia of it's background!💙🤍 It's designed by Odette Barsa, a popular lingerie designer from the 1930's through the 1970's. She designed for many department stores. This one was sold at Bonwit Teller in NYC. I was able to find a good bit of exciting information about them! ~ Bonwit Teller & Co. was a luxury department store in New York City founded by Paul Bonwit in 1895 and later a chain of department stores. From the mid 1970's to late 1980's, Bonwit competed head on with peer Saks Fifth Avenue retaining a role on the development of fashion and design, most notably helping to launch the career of Calvin Kline.🤩 🎬 You may be familiar with Bonwit Teller from movies and television. They have been seen in such films as Home Before Dark with Jean Simmons, Breakfast At Tiffany's with Audrey Hepburn, Rocky II, when Rocky purchases a jacket with a tiger design on the back, the opening sequence of Die Hard with a Vengeance and a scene in the popular TV series Mad Men.📺 With so much fun history, this sweetheart definitely belongs in a good home.
