@dosojosverdes Hi I want to Thank you for acknowledging Cargivers. I am a nurse but I haven’t work for a paycheck in 3 years I take care of my mom full time. It’s an honor but it’s also very isolating and you lose yourself. It’s nice to know others care♥️♥️♥️
dosojosverdes
@karenholmes77 , thank you for your comments. I'm going on my 11th year, ----- m♡m is 96 now and my hubby is chronically ill. Caregiving is how you demonstrate your love thru actions on their behalf. It's not: "If you need anything, call me"... no that's not going to happen.

It is: "What do you need today so I can help you with it?"
Isolated, true + COVID19 has definitely thrown us into a worse situation. I read the Bible pretty regularly; helps me, uplifts me, grounds me, consoles me.

Kudos to you for being a caregiver❣️✨👍 It’s a hard job, I know!! 😘
dosojosverdes
@starzelda7 ... for 2... I think my back will break in half 😩😩😩
starzelda7
@dosojosverdes Make sure to make time for yourself, too. It’s exhausting work - and for 2 to boot! Easy to burn out. Get an aid to give you a respite day & schedule a massage for yourself!💕😃✨🌹
dosojosverdes
@starzelda7 ..... you made me cry... a "good" cry...
everything you say is what I need... thanks for the virtual hug I feel from you, Darcee.

Bless you for all you do! ❤💙💜

@vannuys77 ... how kind! On most days... it's a thankless job. Some days... are good... some days are better. There are no bad days. I "programmed" my outlook to be this way.
Cannot quit, so an attitude adjustment is a must. The only thing is having 2 loved ones to care for... plus myself = 3. Only God can help me. No siblings... and with the pandemic it's 99% impossible to get help. Appreciate your kind comment ❣ LuLu

Hello!
I love all the comments that were given! It is so true that caregivers burn out often - it is one of the toughest yet loving job (?) /action on this earth .. I was at one time a daycare provider for single moms. I did get paid but only charged $1 an hour per child. I also had 16 children every day. I LOVED it! I also cared for my father in-law who had severe Parkinson’s & was Schizophrenic. He was a blessing in our lives - we learned compassion & tolerance.

I went on to working in a Nursing Home - THEY taught me so much & I realized there are worse things than death. I held many of them as they passed away. I washed their bodies after death for their families, but I talked with them. I knew that their spirit did linger .. it is a glorious experience to express how you feel with them & about them in the solitude of just you & the one that you loved so much!

My mother passed away 6 years ago. They asked if we (my sisters & I) wanted to wash & dress her. All my sisters said “No” but I spoke out & said yes! I let them know that this was our chance for only us to be with her & could speak to her & express our love freely. They quickly agreed. It was a tearful & beautiful 4 hours that we all shared. A memory that we only had with our mother!

All caregivers who take care of their loved ones are the most compassionate, frazzled, people anyone will know. We need to recognize & be so grateful for you angels !! ♥️ 😇

I also survived a Massive Pulmonary Embolism with 4 Cardiac Arrests - just 1 year ago. I was not expected to live, BUT I DID!! (Less than 4% live.) The blood clots were in both my lungs.
(I am not that old !!) I have damage to my heart & lungs .. BUT LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL !! I ENJOY EVERY MINUTE !! I hope you do too 🥰 ..

sorry for writing more than a book ..
dosojosverdes
@mystylegrandma , don't ever be sorry. I do appreciate your support, and your sharing your thoughts and experiences. o-o
Did you write and write and then you had gone over the 500 character limit??? I so strongly unlike that = hate it.
But like you did, short paragraphs are the key.
I'm sorry about your loss, and how you explain it. I have no siblings, so it's going to be me...
dosojosverdes
@mystylegrandma ......
Mom is just about 97......
My hubby has a chronic illness and I am caring for him as well. He's now barely recovering from hernia surgery done Friday. No complications 👍👍👍.
So scary to have had pulmonary embolisms... I understand those too. 😖.
dosojosverdes
@mystylegrandma ..... 500 character maxed out ☝️☝️☝️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think our paths crossed before. I had a pair of gray ankle booties with crocheted ankles, 7 but you needed size 9? Yes???
I found a pair a few months back in a 9, and tagged you..... hope you liked/bought them ???

As a thyroid and skin cancer survivor myself my relaxing day would be no kids, hubby, dogs, or house to take care of and lay in bed ALL day ‼️🤪💓 haha wishful thinking 😉
dosojosverdes
@deeallen79 ..... sister in lack of thyroid: express your emotions to your hubby; plan a day for YOU. All those well meaning friends and relatives that have said: "If you need anything , let me know???"..... yes, call in them. One day.... HALF A DAY. I did it once in these 11 years, went to my friend's house and TOOK A 4 HOUR NAP.
I strongly recommend it, or else we're going to burn out. Hang tough! You're NOT alone, LuLu May 2022
deeallen79
@dosojosverdes awe thanks but unfortunately I don’t have any more friends lol I’m consumed with my kids, hubby , house and life 😉 but it’s ok I get time when they go to school and whatnot . Thanks for the great conversation 🥰 very nice of you !!!
dosojosverdes
@deeallen79 ......... how's it going? LuLu
deeallen79
@dosojosverdes oh it’s going same old same old 😉 …. lol how about you? Hope all is well 💓

I care for my husband since his stroke in Nov 2018 left him disabled. Also work part-time from home. Blessings to you!
dosojosverdes
@pattihaney202 , Oh Patty❣ I see I am by no means "alone" in the caregiver road... sometimes quite a bumpy ride, and it smooths out for a stretch.... Hang in there, part time job, home, caregiver and Posher ❣ We're not wimps, (most days). Thanks for sharing, and come back by anytime 🤗🤗🤗 LuLu

@pattihaney202 , Hey Miss Pattie, you have a very eager buyer on your page... check it out. White blouse 💋💋💋

You are amazing!!!

My husband has NPH, it’s a real thing! Never heard of it til he broke his neck! 7 years we’ve been dealing with it and all the surgeries and things that go with it. I love him more than anything! 45 years yesterday! When I need to get away, it’s just to the outside where I work with my plants. That’s very helpful! Caregivers are amazing people! ❤️Thanks for mentioning it! 😊🌸🥰❤️

Hello thank you so very much dear heart for
being strong and staying with it,I know how
hard it is it was my last job before I couldn't work anymore. It was also very rewarding
any job when you're helping people is rewarding
it's because it's why God has us here together
is to help eachother not harm eachother like
the enemy would like to see. God is more
powerful. I also lost my mother to Alzheimers
disease 15yrs ago. I worked too hard physically
so I now live in chronic pain and God is Good
