Here is a vintage charm-holder pendant, made of sterling with a gold wash, so it appears gold in color. Add a chain, slide your charms on the ring, and you've got a unique piece. The stamp says STER, for sterling, and possibly PRJ?, shown close-up in photos 5-7. Photos 3-4 show approximate measurements, .75" width, 1.25" length. Shows some wear, as is visible in photos.
