@theclotheshound I remove the fabric care tags from my scarves. the artist's signature is J. Metz. Please see the picture in my listing. Thanks for looking.

@mandree I tried to zoom in, but it’s fuzzy. 🤷♀️ Bummer about the tag. Did you keep it or the paper tag? I like to have them for additional info.

@theclotheshound no, sorry, I didn't know to keep the tags. until now, I didn't know about the artist's signature, either. so thank you for sharing your knowledge 🙂

@theclotheshound the Hermes scarves in my collection may be missing the tags, but they all contain the provenance with detailed store, purchasing, and VAT receipts.

@mandree The receipts along aren't very good point for authenticity as they don't always contain the name and scarf ID; further, they can be easily switched between different scarves. It would help to add a close up pic of the signature.

@tres2chic my invoices contain that info. My receipts show the date, place, and purchaser info.
A scarf tag only shows the scarf material, the place of origin, and the care instructions. Scarf tags do not reflect any traceability to a particular scarf, bc they do not show the scarf design name, artist, and the place and date of purchase. cont'd

@tres2chic The scarf tag is hand sewn onto the scarf with a few loose slip stitches as to not damage the silk. It would be very easy to switch and resew a scarf tag.
