thorne1951 @athenamagine Yes they are silver plate, but good plate from Adler's in NOLA. If they were sterling they would be at least 5-8 times the price. The high cost of sterling silver, is why most silver items are silver plate.

athenamagine @thorne1951 I do understand the price of sterling and plate. Some candelabra are sterling and the base is filled with something else and the cost is not as much as sterling( alone). I have purchased those for ~$100-150. (This is why I ask, I do have a clue to value. Just asking…)

devidevotee Hello, just two weeks ago I lost a pair of these exact candelabras in a wildfire that completely ravaged my home, and it would be heavenly to be able to purchase these; that would go a long way to healing my heart of the losses of my grandmother's treasures. I'm happy to pay your named price, but Poshmark is requiring I make an offer, as the "Buy Now" option is currently unavailable. thorne1951 @devidevotee Hi Debbie, your candelabra s are on the way. Iam so sorry to hear of the loss of your home and all its treasures. I bought these candelabras for my Mother in 1983, when I was still working in NOLA and she enjoyed them, until she passed away, n 2017, so I hope my Mother's candelabras fill the void of the loss of your Grandmother's candelabras.
