petitepower @gina123 Hi, I just want to clarify with you that Chanel stores or their SAs do not authenticate...only in case that you bring a bag in to repair, then they will tell you if it is fake. I don't want you to give your clients wrong info and they might trouble you. :). Good luck.

corrinadeluxe Can these sites authenticate before a purchase , from the pictures posted ? And what recourse can be taken if an item was bought and accepted on posh then found to be fake ? I only pre-order directly from NM, Saks, Hirsch, etc. This seller in particular displays all kind of signs of fake bags and untrustworthy. There are a handful of legit Chanel lovers/sellers like I am here. We stay close together to spot fake bags and scammer. Lets me tag you to one of the scammer alert post

petitepower @maixuanluc2013 I've been "living" Chanel so I can spot fakes one. However, I am not an expert or professional authenticator so I always pay a profession service to authenticate my Chanel items that I bought from resellers. The bracelet you bought has a look of a fake marking (the font & indent). Again, it is only my own opinion and in no way an expert. Also, this seller has been on "the warning" list in selling Fake Chanel items. If you want to be sure, once you receive the item, you can pay Etin. $5 to authenticate, then report to Posh. Etinceler service is very quick in response. Good Luck

petitepower @shantoston I have not seen many caviar maxi listed on Posh. May I suggest looking at trusted online consignment websites such as: annsfabulous, fashionphile, yoogies, tradesy, and some trusted ebay sellers that I can't remember their names right now :)

petitepower @shantoston Sure, message me and I will give you my honest opinion. Here are some trusted ebay seller names: Elady, Fashionhulu, asuka3520, brandoff, crossroad881, kaorin139, and more. However, I always get my bag authenticated with Etin. if I buy from resellers, even the trusted ones and that's just me being cautious :)

joysharee1108 @petitepower Got it! Next question...the reason why I'm getting the caviar is because it seems to be more durable. But I've noticed that most of them start losing the shape around the bottom. Does it matter what year I the bag? I went to see that caviar this weekend and the bag was very hard where the bag creases going inward on the sides. Are all the bags eventually going to give in or depends on what year the bag is? Hopefully you understand what I'm trying to say.

petitepower @shantoston I think just overall the quality has gone down over the years, especially recently. Now, caviar looks duller and not as puffy. The quality is also not consistent so you may see bags from one batch/season that have ugly caviar, but another bags may have pretty shiny caviar. I also think being a maxi where you tend to carry more stuffs and the bottom is wider than other sizes, it would natural crease more or cave more. HTH :)

petitepower @maixuanluc2013 Posh will release fund 3 days after the package is delivered. So, as soon as you received it, pay Etin. to authenticate, they usually response within 24 hrs. Go to their website to see instruction to take photos & email your request.

petitepower @maixuanluc2013 Good luck. If it were me, then I'd not buy it bc the box & marking does not line up with the real ones. I hope I am wrong for your sake. But, the bags are more obvious. Etinceler may even reject your request if they can't see the marking clearly from your photos for the difficult one, but if obvious like my case in the past, they can tell right away.

Just think about it, you didn't know just few hours ago and could have been a victim without knowing (soon to find out). Also, if Posh ban this acct, they can open another one and the cycle begins!

petitepower @maixuanluc2013 I don't think Chanel cares. I think it's more of the gov't/police authority job to track down sources of fake bags and punish scammers. There are fake Louis, Gucci, every designer names...you name it. The companies don't spend their resource to track down fakes I don't think.

joysharee1108 I just looked at this and If I am not mistaken sweetie on tradesy is jennyh. When we were conversing back and forth she told me that was her name on there so you are aware as well. I emailed her and told her I wouldnt be purchasing the product and low and behold I went to look back at the pictures of the bag I wanted to get through her and now she marked it as not for sale and the price was set for a higher price. Something seemed fishy. Also how I search for the sellers names on tradesy? I have been trying to find it and I cant even find my self lol

However, regarding the bracelet and also all Chanel items you'd buy in the future from any resellers, my whole point was to encourage you to get them authentic (exactly the point of this listing of mine). I repeated many times that I am in no way an expert and and only warned you about the bracelet bc I saw things that is off from a real deal. I wouldn't make an accusation till it is proven. It is your choice to take my advice nor ignore. I do hope that the bracelet is real and if so, I will need to study more. Good Day 💝

petitepower @shantoston The photos are too far to judge. I suggest you ask her for close up photos to get a sense of authenticity before purchase. Then, pay Etin to authenticate it as soon as you receive the bag. As far as her closet, it seems she is also a Chanel lover and other Chanel lovers (queenbee & bay) take a liken of her. Nothing wrong stand out, but I would ask for photos before commit to buying. Then, absolutely has it professionally authenticated.

But, if you are talking about a Chanel Classic Double Flap caviar leather in size M/L, then the current retail price at the store is $4900 (not $5200). I've seen a few excellent condition of this bag priced at $3900. 19 series is probably from 2014-2015.

petitepower @bhwardrobe Oh No, I have quit FB for over 1/2 year now! Chanel recently just had a price increase from $4400 to $4900 in May. So, the 19 series bag probably was bought brand new for $4400. You'll have to look around other consignment websites to get an idea of how much similar bag/condition is priced at, then ask for lower price since the owner is selling directly.
