Do u feel the same way I do on shipping for items below $25? Make sure you tell them about it. They are losing money in the long run if we opt to not buy an item bc of the added $7 for shipping. I'm sure the $7 is so that they can get their piece of the trading that's going on but as a person that hasn't traded yet why should I pay for that?

@hrobbins6163 couldn't agree more!! I've passed up so many things I e wanted just bc I hate to buy one $10 item and pay $7 for shipping!! Just defeats the purpose!!

@bmaksi do u get what they mean, "also makes shipping something the buyer thinking about constantly" ? Priority mailing is $5.40!
Apr 28Reply

bmaksi
@hrobbins6163 nope! That totally lost me!! Unless they are saying drop shipping through pm all together and just let the seller pay shipping on their own.
Apr 28Reply

hrobbins6163
@bmaksi most lower priced items are lightweight!! It's their way of making more money off the smaller priced items.

@hrobbins6163 I agree, and the new shipping rates of over 2lbs the seller have to pay additional $1.99 per lbs. that makes the seller have to weigh every shipment that goes out, that is added work and you have to buy a package scale. Before I knew of the new shipping policy I shipped. Bundle over 2lbs and the buyer decided she was going to pay for the shipping at the post office which was $11, she did not contact me to let me know there was an issue with shipping charges, when she finally responded to my inquires, she wanted me to pay her back for the shipping charges before she excepted the merchandise!!! I had already sold the items for dirt cheap and she decided to pay for additional shipping with out notifying me first for me to decide if I wanted to pay for the shipping, I would not have and I would have told her we can cancel the order and she could get a refund because I would have made only $13 on $90 + worth of stuff I sold if I would have paid her back for additional shipping. In the meantime I will still use PayPal as much as possible until posh can get this shipping business right!!!😍

@sunshine123 that is crazy!! I'd be so mad. There reply makes no sense and I hope everyone sends the same request I did!

@hrobbins6163 yeah, that reply was a bunch of bull crap and avoidance of the issue!!! I will be sending in a complaint myself, happy poshing!!!

@hrobbins6163 Thanks for writing that awesome note. You are correct, I know PM buyers look at the ridiculous shipping charges and decide its too much. PM GETS 20% off also. I will send a note. Unfortunately I've tried to communicate with them on another issue, no resolve, but I'll keep trying. Thanks again

Agree one time I had a huge shippment and spent 40$ on shipping out of my own pocket because of weight !!!

@hrobbins6163 Not to mention, their response was horribly written with misspellings, and forgotten words. Yep! Real professional on their end! LOL
They are out for as much money as they can make before people get fed up,and start closing down in disgust.
I personally don't buy anything from a closet unless I have 2+ items to make shipping worth the cost. I've had to pass on same great things because shipping costs are not realistic.

hrobbins6163
I totally agree. As if they aren't making ENOUGH money from the TWENTY PERCENT!?!? That number is astronomical. They aren't going to change unless people start speaking up. Shipping is retarded and 20% is crazy.

flygirlmel
I think any item below $25 should be free shipping paid by PoshMark & anything above that should get the added $6.99 or $4.99 shipping added.
May 02Reply

hrobbins6163
@flygirlmel I couldn't agree more. I'd be willing to contribute 2.99 to shipping of smaller items. Priority mailing starts at 5.40 I believe and I think PM should match what I pay from their TWENTY PERCENT!!!
May 02Reply

flygirlmel
@hrobbins6163 oh & that 20% needs to be changed. Not even eBay takes 20% of a sale! I think they take like 5% I forgot but it's not even close to 10% .. $2.99 sounds reasonable for shipping on smaller items.
May 02Reply

hrobbins6163
@dnice0143 well aren't they just the picture of uniformity?? I can't stand reading their botched up reply. Obviously they're trying to cover up something and I hope everyone writes a response to them regarding shipping.

Loved reading all the comments and agree to them all! It's so ridiculous. Did anyone realize their last drop in shipping rates also drop the package weight? It used to cover 3 lbs! I've had issues before and their customer service sucks! Not worth the 20% they take. Ohh dont let me get started with posh parties! The hosts pick mostly their own items, or people they interact with more and they make tons of sales. Ohhhh one more thing, they should update the app so that we can actually manage our own listings and delete certain comments. For negotiating purposes as well as some people can just be rude. 😝
May 02Reply

hrobbins6163
@swtpea I completely agree with everything u said! I just read the automated reply that apparently they send everyone. @dnice0143 has it on her closet. This is ridiculous!!

hrobbins6163
@dnice0143 lemme chk. No I'm Heidi.
May 02Reply

swtpea
And for them to say they believe in flat rate shipping? It's not flat rate if we have to pay extra when it's more than 2 lbs. #idiots

@dnice0143 yes mine was Ashlee too.

All they do is provide the outlet and the programming to sell OUR clothes. I do ALL THE WORK. it makes me sick to hand them 20% of my earnings.
May 02Reply

swtpea
Awww @dnice0143 they were really tricky on that one bcuz they made it sound like they were doing us a favor!
May 02Reply

hrobbins6163
@swtpea @dnice0143 makes me crazy!!!
May 02Reply

hrobbins6163
@dnice0143 that's what I'm hoping!! I try and share it everyday. I hope everyone writes a letter.
May 02Reply

hrobbins6163
@dnice0143 well if they has a more educated reply maybe I wouldn't feel inclined to share their response!! And if they weren't so greedy!! As I said priority shipping starts at 5.40!!! Not 6.99
May 02Reply

hrobbins6163
***if they HAD
May 02Reply

hrobbins6163
@dnice0143 but do u see they're also pocketing that 1.20?
May 02Reply

hrobbins6163
@dnice0143 the reason why under 25 items are 6.99 is bc they know ppl are trading and they'll get their piece of the shipping when ppl make the item to zero and do shipping on PM. Does that make sense?

I think posh could work a deal with USPS or FedEx /. Ups for that matter. The account is poshmark. We are using their account. So they can get UPS to set Up a rate chart. By weight. I have a scale. I think most people do. And if something is small it should be several dollars and go up from there. We already go to the post office. Might as well go to a ups drop off box or store. Same thing. Plus tracking is better IMHO Etsy has multiple rate options. Just write the code. Simple!!

@radiomaxx thanks for commenting! I hope you let posh know how u feel also!

I sell on ebay and if U ship a pair of earrings or a lipstick it costs me $1.95 to ship first class! On here they have to pay $6.99! That's ridiculous! I also had my account shut down for a week for accepting Paypal!!
May 11Reply

hrobbins6163
@dawnnesbitt thAt is crazy. Someone must of reported u. Just like they can report someone for selling replicas. It's ridiculous. Their customers don't like it and they should change it. And don't even get me started on their absurd reply. They even sent the same exact response to another PM'er who complained the same thing I did. They have plenty of money with the 20%. Get out of my shipping pocket!!!

@heatheryearber 😄 I was thinking the same thing!! VERY unprofessional and did not really answer much! I could barely follow with all the typos!! Way to run a business!!! 😒 Their rates keep me from buying ALL the time! Why tack on those fees when u can go buy NEW items??! Duh!! 😏

This is why I use Vinted far more than Poshmark - shipping options that are much more realistic!
